With Tuck & Patti being a jazz duo since the early 80’s and crossing over to folk and acoustic pop music, their 1988 “Tears of Joy” album is regarded as THE breakthrough album including the single “Takes My Breath Away” and a cover of the Cyndi Lauper staple “Time After Time”. Patti Cathcart‘s voice is simply extraordinary and together with Tuck Andress‘ guitar playing they form a confident and sophisticated sound, inspiring people all over the world. In particular, Tuck‘s niece Anne Clarke aka St. Vincent, who toured with Tuck & Patti as a roadie and later as opening act.
