Description
Released in 1996, Buffalo Nickel is Dan Baird‘s 2nd solo album and contains good ol’ fashioned rock and roll. Snaring guitars and Americana rhythm together with strong lyrics, the opening track Younger Face sets the tone for the rest. Baird‘s version of Hush (Deep Purple) is a solid cover and includes Joe South (original writer) on backing vocals. Buffalo Nickel is produced by Brendan O’Brien ( also lead guitarist) who worked with Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Incubus, AC/DC and a lot more. As his timing was exactly right, Dan Baird gained a lot of newfound fans with this album, which is an excellent example of what American Guitars should sound like.
