Erik Tagg, also known as Eric Tagg, is an American singer, keyboardist, bassist, songwriter, and author, born on January 9, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, known for his smooth jazz and pop music style. He began his musical career in the Netherlands as band member of Beehive (1973-1974) and Rainbow Train (1975-1979).
“Rendez-vous”, his 2nd solo album, released in 1977 and produced by Hans Vermeulen from Rainbow Train, can be characterized by its mellow melodies and sophisticated arrangements, often blending elements of jazz, pop, and Rhythm & Blues.

In addition to his solo work, Erik Tagg is also renowned for his collaboration with guitar virtuoso Lee Ritenour. This partnership began in the early 1980s when Tagg became the lead vocalist for Ritenour’s band. Their collaboration resulted in several successful projects, including the acclaimed albums “Rit” (1981) and “Rit 2” (1982).
