An instrumental session organized by Creed Taylor (founder of CTI Rec.); George Benson is left alone in a studio with a group (a. o. Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette) to record his first release with CTI (1971). This is probably the most mesmerizing guitar play in his career, the buzz starts with Miles Davis’ “So What” and continues throughout as jazzy and soulful as ever, right up to the end. GB at his best!
