Lalo Schifrin recorded Black Widow in 1976; stepping out of his comfort zone and produced this polished, dance-friendly and elegant album. He was well known as a jazz composer and therefore criticized by the older jazz fans as well as praised by newfound funk fans for his versions of “Jaws” and “Quiet Village”.
