Description
This chamber opera is inspired by the life (first celebrity American murdered his wife’s alleged lover) and work (first motion picture made by photographing a galloping horse) of Edward Muybridge. This was written, composed and produced as a full opera and performed for the first time in 1982 in the The Palace in Amsterdam. Allaboutjazz.com: “(..) swirling and recognizably dynamic synthesizer melodies, churning patterns, vocal tropes and pulsating rhythms, provides a grandiose, even bombastic finale to this play.”
