Description
Formed in Coventry, Warwickshire, in 1963 The Sorrows were part of the British beat boom. The Sorrows were the raunchiest, hard-edged, most aggressive band in England in 1965. Their brand of thumping R & B/Blues/Garage-Rock, also known as freakbeat, at the time was ground-breaking and way ahead of its time. Their music made The Stones sound like easy listening. The Sorrows had their own hard rhythm`n blues sound with occasional fine ballads. Most of their material was original. They had the potential of making it big, but like many others they never really broke through.
