Description

“Transverse City” is the seventh studio album by Warren Zevon and the follow up to “Sentimental Hygiene”, originally released in 1989. It features appearances from a number of prominent musicians, including guitarists Neil Young, David Gilmour (of Pink Floyd), Jerry Garcia (of Grateful Dead) and Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), as well as jazz pianist Chick Corea. The album has a contemporary sound that sees Zevon play more guitar than his previous efforts. This album spawned two singles “Run Straight Down” and “Splendid Isolation”. This album is one of Zevon’s “most ambitious and uncompromising achievements.”
