Accordingly to fans’ revues this was a match made in heaven, great musicianship playing even greater tunes. “Procession” is an album with 6 pieces, wonderful and well played fusion jazz. Easing into the album with title track and “Plaza Real” finishing the first part of the album off with the upbeat “Two lines”, “Where the moon goes” is a welcome diversion featuring the vocal group Manhattan Transfer, building up to a conclusive ending of the album with Wayne Shorter‘s Sax on “The Well” and Hakim‘s drums “Mollasses Run”. “Procession”, released in 1983, is a turning point for the band, an intriguing album that grabs your attention.
