T.O.P is a horn driven funk group from the 70’s, still touring the globe with their signature horns and funkiness. Nowadays still selling out almost every venue, they play and currently touring again in USA. T.O.P is as ever very much loved by artists as backing group, working with bands and artists like The Monkees, John Lee Hooker, Rufus, Rod Stewart, Heart, Lyle Lovett, Poison, Elton John and many more. We Came To Play! is a transitional record release in 1978. Coming from the up-tempo heavy funk from the early and mid 70’s, T.O.P. wanted to enjoy a more relaxed approach resulting in a mixed album with diverse funk and R&B tracks and even a few slow songs. A typical T.O.P album resulting in a successful future.
