Description
Dave Stewart’s second album with the Spiritual Cowboys expanded the musical ideas of their debut although it was slightly less focused and pop-oriented than its predecessor “Honest” is a 1991 album and his last album which featured the pretenders’ Martin Chambers on drums and a pleasantly inconsequential piece of ear candy Its bright playful arrangements hark back to the cheerful eclecticism of the Sixties and Stewartís gruff half-spoken vocals and surreal lyric scenarios find their origins in early Dylan. Some great songs on this CD “Honest”, “Whole Wide World”, “Crown Of Madness” and “Fool’s Paradise”. If you are a fan of Dave or Eurythmics you can’t miss this second solo release.
