Having been out print for a very long time we proudly present to you Jerry Lee Lewis, The Session Recorded In London With Great Guest Artists. This specific release is like the vinyl version and includes the original artwork. We were able to keep the retro feel of the album. In 1973, Mercury Records decided to send Jerry Lee Lewis to London for a one-off recording session in the famous Abbey Road Studios with several well-known British musicians. Lewis found it hard to make his magic work. As he rarely recorded outside Tennessee he was slightly uncomfortable at first recording in London. During recordings the tension was high, induced mainly by the flamboyant, often intoxicated and restless Lewis. Nevertheless this album is regarded as one the best recording sessions Lewis ever did and includes none other than Peter Frampton, Rory Gallagher, Brian Parrish, Albert Lee and many more. The sessions were produced by Steve Rowland with the track list composed of Lewis‘ 50’s and 60’s rock & roll songs such as Drink Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee, Johnny B. Goode, Pledging My Love and a medley containing Good Golly / Long Tall Sally / Jenny Jenny / Tutti Frutti / Whole Lot Of Shakin’.
