Description
Produced in 2002, for some The Great Divide is a little too easy on the ears by Country Music standards. In truth this album might actually be one of the better collaboration albums Willie Nelson‘s ever done. The Great Divide contains 3 tracks co- written by Rob Thomas ( Matchbox 20) and 2 tracks co-written by Bernie Taupin ( writer for Elton John), duets with Lee Ann Womack, Brian McKnight, Kid Rock, Bonnie Raitt and Sheryl Crow. All tracks ooze Nelson’s raw yet gentle and soothing sound together with his band and at times an orchestra to back him up. The Great Divide is a much loved album and will get under your skin by the first listen.
