Adding reggae and rhythm ‘n’ blues to the stew, Hiatt delivered a rawer and meaner album, establishing him as an original and creative singer-songwriter. Confidently flirting with reggae on Madonna Road, pop on Radio Girl, rockabilly on You Used To Kiss The Girls and r&b on Washable Ink, Hiatt had become a master who could paint just about any musical landscape.
