Ann Burton, born as Johanna Rafalowicz, was a Dutch jazz singer. She was beside Rita Reys and Greetje Kauffeld one of the three most important post war jazz singers from the Netherlands. She was an autodidact singer very much influenced by the likes of Billie Holiday, Jo Stafford, Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. On Blue Burton she’s accompanied by pianist Louis van Dijk, Jacques Schols on double bass, John Engels on drums and saxophonist Piet Noordijk.
