Description
Boston-born comedian and actor Denis Leary released his first standup comedy album ‘No Cure For Cancer’ in 1993. The chain-smoking, explosive Leary first gained notoriety with MTV commercials. On ‘No Cure For Cancer’ his standups are sandwiched between four novelty songs. Leary‘s barbed tongue tackles topics like drugs, smoking, meat, rock stars, death, and combinations thereof. One of his best, “Asshole,” is a funny diatribe set to acoustic rhythm guitar. Timing, rhythm, subtlety and nuance are virtually nonexistent. But it’s still pretty funny. One of the best comedians of the 80’s/90’s.
