Paradise in Me was released 1996 and was a breakthrough for the band. First single Not an Addict was an instant hit reaching #5 in the USA and remaining in the Billboard charts for almost a year. The album stayed in the Dutch Top 100 for almost 90 weeks and in Belgium Paradise in Me hit #1 within the first few weeks. It was this album that caught the attention of Alanis Morrisette, who took K’s Choice on tour with her and from that moment on K’s Choice was an unstoppable force. Sarah Bettens has one of the most distinctive vocals around. She leads the band, with her voice acting as an instrument and completes each track either harmonious and subtle or rough and hard.
