Die Geschopfe Des Prometheus was Beethoven’s first Viennese ballet score and one of his earliest public successes, with more than 20 performances given in Vienna between 1801 and 1802. This CD was originally released in 1996 after the live recording at Vredenburg, Utrecht, The Netherlands in January 1995. The Orchestra Of The 18th Century played on period instruments and the conductor was Frans Bruggen.
