Description
“At Fillmore East” are live recordings from four concerts originally released on vinyl in the seventies with selections of one night each on one LP side. Miles Davis toured at that time with a jazz-rock ensemble containing a double keyboards set-up of Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea on organ and Fender Rhodes. The band, seven members all together also featured Steve Grossmann, Airto Moreira, Dave Holland and Jack DeJohnette. During this performance at Fillmore East, New York, the group opened the concert nights for Laura Nyro in June, 1970. With this “electric” band Miles Davis shows himself as one of the creators and innovators of the Jazz-Fusion genre as we know it.
