Description
Mountain, founded in Long Island, New York in 1969 by lead-guitarist Leslie West and the late great bass player and producer Felix Pappalardi (shot and killed by his wife back in 1983) were a big influence for the upcoming heavy metal scene at the time. Mountain became world-famous after their appearance at 1969’s famous Woodstock festival (their fourth gig as Mountain). “Twin Peaks”, originally released as a 2-LP was recorded at Konenkin Hall, Osaka, at their Japan tour in 1973 and contains the band’s signature song “Mississippi Queen” and the magical over 30 minutes version of “Nantucket Sleighride” with great guitar dialogues between Leslie West and Bob Mann. “Twin Peaks” is a live best of and Mountain were at their best when on stage, Alive!
