“Nux Vomica is the The Veils second album released in the autumn of 2009. The album was recorded in Los Angeles and almost completely written by lead singer/frontman Finn Andrews. “Nux Vomica” became much darker and heavier than their previous “Runaway Found” album. The album is produced by Nick Launay, one of the most sought after producers known for his work with a.o. Arcade Fire and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. With the contribution of former Lounge Lizards member and long-time Lou Reed collaborator Jane Scarpantoni, The Veils lifted themselves entirely to a new level.
