It took quite some time for The Veils to release their debut album in Feb ’04, even though the writing was finished. They first released a few (promo) singles and performing them became essential. When they signed with Rough Trade in 2003, they recorded 4 songs with Bernard Butler (ex Suede guitarist) to add to the existing recordings and finished “Runaway Found”. With everything that went on at the time, lead singer Finn Andrews didn’t feel the band was going in the right direction and The Veils (the 1st formation) split up just 2 months after the release of their first official album.
