CCS were a British group of mainly studio musicians led by blues guitarist Alexis Korner. The personnel included guitarist Peter Thorup, one of Denmark’s most important blues musicians, and former Blue Mink members/studio musicians guitarist Alan Parker known from a.o. David Bowie, Donovan, Walker Brothers and the Top Of The Pops tune “Whole Lotta Love”, Herbie Flowers known from a.o. David Bowie, Lou Reed (the bass line of “Walk On The Wild Side”), Bryan Ferry & George Harrison, Blue Mink founder Roger Coulam on the bass guitar and Tom Jones drummer Barry Morgan. There biggest hits were “Tap Turns On The Water” and the Donovan song “Walking”.
