“Heaven Tonight” is Cheap Trick‘s third studio album and was recorded at Los Angeles Record Plant and the Sound City Studios. The album features Roy Wood‘s “California Man” which is the last official single released from the world famous Britpop band “The Move”. The re-issued version of the album has been remastered in 1998 and contains two bonus tracks: “Stiff Competition” and “Surrender”, both songs are “outtakes”. The release of this album in May 1978, was one month after, what a year later became, their famous (recorded) Nippon Budokan concerts in Tokyo, Japan. Many fans and critics consider “Heaven Tonight” as Cheap Trick‘s best album.
