Description

Frank Cunimondo is an American jazz pianist and educator from Pennsylvania, USA. He began playing music at the age of 6 studying classical piano. As a teenager he shifted to jazz. His style is most often compared to pianist Bill Evans. At the young age of 19, he was already playing professionally at many local jazz haunts in Pittsburgh and in 1989 was voted Pittsburgh’s “Best Jazz Pianist”. The album “The Frank Cunimondo Trio Introducing Lynn Marino” was originally released in 1971 on Cunimondo’s own label, Mondo Records. The pianist recorded the album with the talented Lynn Marino, who was only 19 years old at the time. The album includes Frank’s most popular recording, “Feelin’ Good”, which became an international hit when the song
was used in a commercial by a popular beer brand.
