It was Hiatt‘s highest charting album ever in the US (#47), Canada (#34), the UK (#67), the Netherlands (#13), and Sweden (#11). The European edition of the album contains the bonus track I’ll Never Get Over You. Perfectly Good Guitar is the most consistently rock & roll-oriented album of Hiatt‘s career. Produced by Matt Wallace (Replacements, Faith No More), who gives a Neil Young-style guitar crunch to most of the songs.
