Description
“Street” was the first studio album by Dutch rock and roll and blues group Herman Brood & His Wild Romance, and the start of a solo career for Herman Brood. Herman toured in the beginning with Cuby And The Blizzards and Jan Akkerman, he also had recorded earlier with Cuby and the Blizzards and made one record with the short-lived band Stud. After a reunion with Cuby and The Blizzards in the mid-seventies he started with His Wild Romance. The guitar and vocals are treated with flange effects with shimmering result, although the grim lyric subject is heroin. The songs are really well written in a stream of conscious mode – true to the times they evolve from. Not to be missed, “Street” is essential and will be remembered.
