Heart‘s 5th studio album was released in February 1980 and is the 1st album without the Fischer brothers (Roger on lead guitar and Michael lead guitar/manager/producer). “Bebe Le Strange” hit nr 5 in the US Billboard 200 and stuck in there for at least 22 weeks, confirming their 3rd top ten album, with “Even it Up” as the ultimate hit-single at the time. According to some “Bebe Le Strange” contains the true Heart sound. The Wilson Sisters take it to a whole new level, adding vulnerability and softness in the bluesy “Down on Me”, rocking hard on “Strange Night” and staying close to Heart‘s ways on “Sweet Darlin'”. In many ways, this album is the first that is truly owned by Nancy and Ann Wilson. Including 2 bonus tracks: “Jackleg Man” and “Break” recorded live in 1980.
